But, there were also some great blogs that didn’t manage to win which you can still find in the BBA blogroll.
I’m a bit disappointed Anita Campbelll just missed out on the Best Blog About Small Business Award. Small Business Trends is a great blog relating to small business marketing and Anita is a lovely person. She’s one of the few bloggers I’ve had the pleasure to meet. But at least Wayne Hurlbert over at Blog Business World came away with Best SEO Blog. Wayne’s blog is simply the best place to learn how blogs can help you position yourself better in search engines, amongst other things.
You’ve also got to remember that these awards aren’t anywhere near a definitive list. And that’s the inherent problem with awards per se. Some very deserving blogs just aren’t represented. However, they’re great for finding out about other blogs you may not have come across and full credit to Darren Barefoot and Jeremy Wright for putting some serious donkey work in.
Personally I’d only heard of a handful of the blogs before the awards, and maybe only read a couple regularly (that’s more to do with the fact that I really should read more blogs, rather than me being a blog barometer).
But, if nothing else, I’ve at least read a few more now.

Thanks Paul for the compliments on my blog. I agree with you that Anita Campbell’s Small Business Trends would have also been a very deserving winner.
The nature of awards are more defined by who is not nominated, than by who received that honour. I am pleased to know that my blog was considered one of the worthy ones.
I want to also say that I really like the look of the new BLOGthenticity blog. It’s very striking in appearance and certain to make its mark in the blogosphere.
If we can just make our own little mark in our own little niche then that’ll do just fine.
Thanks for dropping by, Wayne
Wayne, thank you for visiting the blog and your kind encouragement. Congratulations on your award, too. I hope you will visit us again. Take care. - Robert
